Hello all my beautiful friends! Thank you for picking up my book, and now that
you have, please take a moment to read my attempt to explain how and why I write
poems and how they make me feel.
Preface
It’s in the quietness of the moment
When I write my poems
They are pure sounds of my soul
Escaping my heart to greet me and pass through me
They are meant to connect with you
And to be a window to your own soul
Sometimes I write early in the morning
With a cup of coffee still in hand
And my mind barely awake
Still free of thoughts or desires
Other times I am walking when they come
I sit down wherever I am
To immediately write them down
In the fear of them escaping my mind
